Laurel Egan Kenny, MBA, MSCM

President, CEO

Laurel Egan Kenny is Founder and President of Turningpoint Communications, where she leads all aspects of the national strategic content marketing, communications, business development support and education consulting firm. Through her firm, she promotes her clients’ own thought leadership to engage audiences in dynamic and compelling ways.

Laurel founded Turningpoint in 2007 after spending 13 years building and leading marketing and business development teams for two large, global Fortune 100 financial services firms in wealth and treasury management servicing divisions. As Chief Operating Officer, Laurel recently led a four-year turnaround initiative for the South Shore (MA) Chamber of Commerce.

Laurel is a highly accomplished and award-winning regional officer by her peers for Associations for FInancial Professionals across the United States. In a professional capacity, she currently serves AFP of Atlanta, Mid Atlantic AFP, Nebraska AFP, Austin AFP and the Alliance of Texas Treasury Associations and their best in class TEXPO conference. Previously, Laurel served as President of the New England AFP, and in a professional capacity for the Great Lakes AFP, Treasury Management Association of Chicago, Treasury Management Association of New York and others. 

Laurel earned an MBA, MSCM and BA from Simmons University, Boston. She presents nationally on marketing, social media, thought leadership and business development best practices topics.

Raymond Vines, CTP, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Raymond Vines, CTP, CPA, is CFO and Trainer, Turningpoint Communications. He is also an instructor for the Association for Financial Professionals Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Treasury Learning System Instructor-led Classes, teaching other financial professionals through Rice University. Ray is former Director of Treasury for Dean Foods in Dallas, where he lead treasury management operations, banking relationship management and process improvement. He previously spent 20 years at RadioShack as Director of Treasury Operations.

Ray is an active participant in enhancing the role of treasury management as an industry and a career through his participation on industry roundtables and past leadership of the Dallas AFP, including as past president and Board member of the organization. In anticipation for its 2023 conference, Ray serves the TEXPO Dallas Committee as the voice of the practitioner on the Education committee. He also co-chaired the TEXPO conference in Dallas in 2018. Ray holds a BBA in Finance and MS in Accounting from University of North Texas and lives in the Dallas, TX area.
